Shirt/Blouse

Using a commercial pattern we will make a shirt. You will learn about interfacings and how to deal with a collar and stand; make professional styled cuffs; add plackets, burrito method for the yoke and create fell seams. There are many optional variations; button-down collar, pockets and it can be made with contrasting collar, cuffs, inside yoke, and placket. It could be made in Liberty print, quilt cotton or flannel. A simple pattern with a yoke, collar and cuffs. It can easily be made longer for a tunic or dress to wear belted or loose, coat-style. At the end of this workshop you will leave with your adjusted commercial pattern and a garment that fits YOU.
